Skallywags Preschool is located at 154 Gardner Circuit, Singleton Heights, New South Wales and is licensed for 48 children from 2 to 6 years of age. The children at Skallywags Preschool are divided between two rooms, Room 1 for children aged 2 and 3 years & Room 2 for the 4 and 5 year olds who will be transitioning to school in the following year. Skallywags Preschool is open between the hours of 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The centre is open 52 weeks of the year and closed on all Public Holidays.
Your child will develop friendships with their peers, teachers and other families, blossoming into beautiful friendships some of which may even continue into their ‘big’ school years.
All staff at Skallywags Preschool work to develop warm and trusting relationships, where we support each other, children and families work in partnership with all families to achieve the best experience for your child.
We believe that everyone at Skallywags Preschool is an individual and all children have different needs, wants and interests and we endeavour to provide learning and play experiences based on each individual child, and introducing them to new and exciting things. This also develops each child’s confidence as they experience more and more of the world available to them.
Skallywags Preschool is committed to providing the highest quality of care, we do this through updating, reviewing and reflecting upon our practices, policies and procedures, to ensure they meet the needs of the families at our centre and current regulations.
Each day at Skallywags Preschool is full of learning and play experiences that we want to share with your child and family as they grow within the world around us.
There are many other varied and fun experiences on offer for the children. We have a fruit and vegetable garden which the children help prepare, plant, water, weed and harvest. We also have inhouse visitors such as the local reptile man and sporting groups and occasionally we visit services that relate to the children’s interests. We support charities like CANTEEN, Red Nose Day and Genes for Genes Day.
